CKSN’s Kidney Kids Program is for children, teenagers and young adults with chronic or acute kidney disease.
Children with kidney disease are either at the pre-dialysis stage and taking medications; already undergoing daily Peritoneal Dialysis or Haemodialysis 3-4 times a week and waiting for a life saving kidney transplant.
They have to endure painful medical procedures, many hospital admissions and doctors’/health professional’s appointments, so the Childhood Kidney Support Network aim to provide a diversion from these aspects of kidney disease with our programs and activities:
