CKSN’s Kidney Kids Program is for children and teenagers with chronic kidney disease.
Children with kidney disease are either at the pre-dialysis stage and taking medication; already undergoing dialysis either every day or 3-4 times a week and waiting for a life saving kidney transplant. They have to endure painful medical procedures, many hospital admissions and doctors’ appointments, so we aim to provide a diversion from these aspects of kidney disease with our programs.
Competitions, free movie tickets, give-aways, ‘Special Days’ at the Hospital Clinics (Easter, Halloween, Christmas etc) with gifts, activities and programs for children in Haemodialysis Unit, and fun events.
